The Southern Center for Human Rights has granted Alabama Women's Resource Network (AWRN) permission to present, "Fighting For Life in the Death-Belt". This documentary follows Stephen Bright, the nation’s leading anti-death penalty attorney and the President and Senior Counsel for the Southern Center for Human Rights. About Alabama Women's Resource Network: AWRN stands as the central policy organization focused on reducing women’s imprisonment through policy research and reforms that address the factors that most commonly lead women to prison, such as domestic violence and the barriers to women accessing emergency shelter or introducing documentation of abuse, lack of adequate defense counsel, Alabama’s notoriously erroneous conspiracy laws, poverty, and substance use or abuse and lack of publicly-funded treatment services. www.awrn.org Ticket cost: $10.00/$7.00 for students (with ID)
